Valgrisenche is a small, unspoilt valley which connects the Aosta Valley with a magnificent chain of mountains.
It is on the Italian / French border parallel with Val d’Isere, therefore some descents finish in the valley at St. Foy, Tarantaise.
It is situated in one of the most beautiful regions of the Alps: Le Ruitor, Feluma, La Traversiere etc. and is surrounded by over 30 mountain peaks, aamongst which one can make out the Mt. Blanc, Gran Combin, Cervin, Mt. Rosa, Gran Paradiso etc…
The valley is about 28 km. There are 20 landing sites, each giving access to several routes down.
How to get there:
By road: from Chamonix in France, take the Mont Blanc tunnel to Courmayeur in Italy, then proceed tin the direction of Aosta on the SS 26 about 22 km further on take a minor road to the right, Valgrisenche is 10 km up that road. From Aosta follow directions to Courmayeur, after 15 kms at Arvier take the turning for Valgrisenche, then follow the road for 17 km to the small village of Planaval to our heli base.
By air: the closest airports to the Aosta Valley are Turin Caselle or Milan Malpensa. We can organise transfers to and from the airport on request.
